We were blessed this Thanksgiving in so many ways...
And it was a blessing to celebrate with so many good friends; especially when family is so far away. Kathy amazed us for the second year in a row with a fantastic Thanksgiving Party last weekend. They fried four delicious turkeys and everyone brought their own favorite side dish. The stories were hilarious...$7 for canned pumpkin, $13 a bag for cranberries, french fried onions from IKEA. It all worked out and tasted just like home!
The mums got crafty earlier in the week and we had the kiddos do turkey handprint t-shirts that said "I am Thankful for..." and then a list on the back. Chloe's list was Mommy, Daddy, Lambchop, Grandparents, Jesus, Dora, swings, t.v. time, and friends.
Last night (for real Thanksgiving) a bunch of families met at the beach for fish and chips. It was low key and laid back, and the kids had a great time chasing the birds away from their food. Chloe ate a cupcake at 7 o'clock and didn't fall asleep until 10pm! That girl and sugar just don't mix.
Happy Turkey Day!
