Harvest Festival Part 2

Life on the farm was wonderful! We stayed in a cute cottage complete with a little old school room inside where Chloe spent a lot of time playing with the old toys left behind by the owner's children.
Ahhh, Farmer Ray!  He had a soft spot for Chloe and she for him. She was his right hand man each morning and evening...feeding the cows, chucks, pigs, sheep, goats, etc.  He gave her a lift on the wheel barrow from place to place!

After the animals were fed we were off again to see some more wineries and festivities. Just a quick stop at a playground by a beautiful lake...
The Sunflower Farm was a wonderful end to our day The fields were filled with the most beautiful flowers and you could easily get lost in them. It would have been a perfect photo op if Mom had put on some makeup that morning!  Never mind...
There were several unique and creative craft activities to choose from. Chloe wanted to felt a sunflower. The felting process was explained to us and she created a beautiful flower.  It was so much fun!

She carefully selects her petal's colours from the choices in the baskets.
"Throwing" the felt took quite a long time...
but the end result was amazing!

More pictures by the flowers and a tree climb to end a most perfect weekend!

Back to the city...
